FIRST LOOK: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2
The 10-megapixel Lumix DMC-LX2 (US$410 as of February 15, 2007), the most recent Panasonic model tested by Digit's sister title PC World, has the same image stabilization feature found on many other Lumix cameras, but it dispenses with those cameras' long zoom in favour of a smaller, more compact body. Even so, the lens protrudes from the camera body by 0.75 inch when the camera is turned off, giving it a total depth of 1.75 inch and making it a little too clunky to fit comfortably in most pockets. .
With software, HDTV, it's not politics as usual
MONTGOMERY - When the Alabama Legislature moved out of the state Capitol in 1985 so that the 157-year-old building could be restored to its original grandeur, the move was supposed to be temporary. In fact, a tunnel was built under South Union Street, connecting the Capitol to the Legislature's temporary quarters in what had been the former, non-descript state highway department building built in 1963. Once work on the Capitol was completed, lawmakers would return to the historic building at the top of Dexter Avenue and use the renovated highway building as offices for legislators, staff and committee meeting rooms. State officials were so sure the move would be temporary that convict labor was used to build the cheap, laminated desks for the House and Senate chambers and furniture in committee rooms.

Ask Sony's Phil Harrison About PS3 and Games
During GDC Sony made an effort to answer questions directly from the gaming community, taking steps to put aside the problems of the past several months. Today, we have a chance to take another step in the right direction with the company. Phil Harrison, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, has been the face of the PlayStation 3 here in the United States since before the machine launched. He's agreed to answer questions from the Slashdot community about the PlayStation 3, the console since launch, and their recent announcements about LittleBigPlanet and Home. I've linked a trio of other interviews he's done recently below, to give you an idea of topics that he's already covered. I'm sure there are plenty of questions we might ask that have yet to be put forward in a public forum.
